Staff Network
Alberta’s network for staff sharing a commitment to climate action.
The Alberta Climate Leaders Staff Peer Network enables staff to connect, learn, and collaborate effectively on climate action. It is open to staff from municipalities, Indigenous communities, and Indigenous government organizations.
Participants will gain practical tools for applying climate action in Alberta, and strengthen interpersonal skills needed to build relationships with residents and stakeholders in the context of local climate action.

“As a steady source of inspiration, support, and momentum, peer-driven networks can both anchor us and amplify collective change. There is strength to be found in numbers and real power behind regional alignment.”
Jenna Chernuka, Climate Change and Environment Specialist, City of Spruce Grove

Initially, the network will cover a wide range of climate action topics covering mitigation and adaptation. In alignment with the Alberta Climate Leaders portfolio, The Playbook guides the scope of network content, supported by peer examples and guest speakers.
As the needs of our members change, the network’s focus may evolve. This could lead to the creation of new, specialized networks or more action-oriented initiatives.
